Alikes & Alikanas...
The resorts of Alikes & Alikanas are probably about as north as you can go if you book through most travel agents. They are very much geared towards people who like very peaceful vacations with plenty of relaxation.
Live music and karaoke were banned in these resorts last year, so unless you like a very quiet time chatting in the bar, you'll have to travel to neighbouring towns to find entertainment.
Transfers to & from the airport are a quite lengthy to this resort so be prepared for a tour of the island, enjoy it and sit back & relax.
Beaches...
The beach is really where it's at. Golden sands that slope off gently into the sea, the water is safe for inexperienced swimmers and young children.
There are some watersports here and you can catch a great tan without much interuption.
